I have to tell you that since I made a decision to follow this course in order to to work on my relationship with the Lord, He has been doing a deep work in me.  It’s like He knows I am serious and is therefore showing me the things in my heart I need to get rid of in order to unblock that which impairs being close to Him – to take my eyes off myself and focus only on Him. It’s a bit like having surgery and is painful but I know He loves me because He is challenging me.

The Lord my Rock.  I found that quite astonishing about the rock of Gibraltar. I have never been there, so I had no idea it was THAT big! Like you, I have thought about being ON the rock but being Inside is a whole new perspective. I have just been meditating on it non stop yesterday and today. If you are inside, you might never even know or think about what the storm was like outside! There surely can be nothing more secure. I’ve been calling out to God that I become more and more secure like that. Thank you.

Just wanted to let you know what a blessing your “Through the Storm” has been. It has been so relevant along my journey. It started with looking back and reminding me of the tremendous journey the Lord has taken me. It then moved into the present and then dealing with my fears as I move into the future. The best way to describe where I ended up is summarized in the words of the chorus “To be in your presence, to sit at your feet, this is my desire”… I know I have renewed strength in HIM.

I just thought I would share this what I written in my journal on today’s Storm notes. “What he has done in me is nothing short of miraculous. I have dealt with self to a large extent. I asked Father for a new love for my husband and he gave it, we have a really good relationship right now. Most of the frustration has gone and the fears. I am still concerned but not in the way that I was. I have been able to minister to this man that I love, praying for him over him and crying out to God to restore what the locusts of eaten. I have come to a place of giving it to Father and have come to a place of peace in the storm, safely in the lighthouse whilst the storm rages all around us. I thank God for praying friends too.”

The Father’s heart poem with the music had a very strong impact with me despite the fact I’ve heard things like this before. I have been reminded of the basis of my faith in a God who will never fail me. Like everyone I have weaknesses but I found God starting to remind me again that he has never left me and that I do have something to offer to the Body of Christ. I felt a much greater assurance as I read and prayed that Father knew exactly where I was at! My confidence is in HIM and nothing else. I finished the course feeling re-energised and more confident of Jesus being my fortress and refuge.

This is the life I need to live…. “Let your Light burn brightly within me Lord. Let me be Your light to those you put in my path. I pray I won’t be found wanting, that I will be ready and available to show Your Light, Your Love, to those you put in my path.” Thank you for sharing testimonies that are so powerful to underline a point. This has been a real time of refreshing and a reminder of Truths and taken me to a deeper level. I would love to have had the opportunity to read this as a new Christian. It is a wonderful grounding that took me many years to learn.

I feel engaged again in the work of the Kingdom.  Age and physical limitations seemed to be signaling much reduced usefulness. God, of course, had not given up on us. I became aware again of the strength and dependability of God’s side of the Covenant relationship.  He is constant, always for me (us, all of us) all the time. With God’s help we’re still here, still standing, still listening and learning, still saying “What’s next?” Thank you Sarah for your faithfulness, for sharing what God has shown you and spoken to you and for starting fires in the lives of God’s chosen people.  Thank you.

I wanted to let you know how beneficial Through The Storm has been. It has confirmed and reaffirmed who I am in Christ and I know I am totally His. I have to admit some days were a bit of a struggle, but then that made it even more important to push through but with the Holy Spirit to help I got there. Your summing up at the end was exactly what the Lord downloaded to me a few weeks ago and that was especially encouraging.
